Jysk

JYSK is one of the largest furniture and home decoration retailers in Europe, with an annual turnover of more than €4.1 billion in 2019/2020. The group has more than 2,900 stores in 51 countries, most of which are in Europe, with more than 24,000 employees.

 

Founded by Lars Larsen, JYSK opened its doors on 2 April 1979 in Aarhus, Denmark, the country's second largest city. Five years later, the company also opened its first store in Germany.

 

JYSK entered the Bulgarian market in 2005, opening its doors for the first time in Plovdiv. Currently the chain owns 35 stores in the country Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo, Sofia, Burgas, Pleven, Stara Zagora, Blagoevgrad, Kyustendil, Kazanlak, Asenovgrad, Varna, Pazardzhik, Pernik, Sliven, Yambol, Dobrich, Shumen, Haskovo, Vidin, Montana, Ruse, Dimitrovgrad and Gabrovo.

 

JYSK opens on average more than two new stores every week and is one of Europe's largest retailers of duvets, pillows and mattresses. The company also offers a wide range of products for the rest of the home - furniture, storage units, bed linen, garden furniture and bathroom accessories.
